Workplace sexual harassment is an issue that affects everyone, with 1 in 3 people having experienced it directly. This learning module is designed to reduce the risk of workplace sexual harassment occurring, and to help people respond if they experience or witness workplace sexual harassment.

Changes to workplace sexual harassment laws
The Australian Government made changes to workplace sexual harassment laws that took effect from 6 March 2023. These amendments changed the role of the Fair Work Commission and the way workers are protected from sexual harassment.
More information about the Commission’s role in dealing with sexual harassment in connection with work is available on the Commission’s website.
Since December 2022, employers and persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBUs) have also had a positive duty to prevent workplace sexual harassment, sex discrimination and victimisation. Information about this new positive duty is available on the Respect@Work website.

The Respect@Work website provides a range of resources to prevent, address and promote better understanding of workplace sexual harassment. These include videos, advice, good practice guides, education and training programs and workplace-assessment tools.

This learning module can be downloaded in two formats: SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004. Before downloading, check which version is compatible with your own LMS.
